Trent Gravel is a natural gravel consisting of rounded, semi rounded and rough stones. It contains a mixture of white, grey and brown stones of varying shades, with a dominance towards brown-grey. It’s an attractive and functional gravel that you can use for driveways as well as decorative areas around a garden.
The combination of rounded, semi rounded and rough stones gives Trent Gravel a natural appearance. The stones are approximately 20m in size, but the different chippings makes it a versatile and characterful aggregate. It is most widely used for driveways and paths, but it can be used across a landscaping project.
Other applications for Trent Gravel include bedding and borders, water features, drainage areas, around trees and to cover uneven or undesirable ground. If you intend to only use one gravel across your landscaping project, this is one of the better ones because it spreads well and is large enough to stay put when distributed.
Trent Gravel is also known as Quartz Gravel because it is made from rock quartz. Quartz is the most abundant rock on the planet. The gravel is formed by crushing larger rocks and the smaller pieces are then filtered down to 20mm.
Trent Gravel is a popular alternative to limestone because the dominant colour is brown instead of grey. It is most popular for driveways.
