Staffordshire Pink Gravel is a mix of rounded and angular quartzite stones. It’s an extremely popular choice for decorating fishponds and rockeries because the natural wear on the stones evokes a sense of nature. On top of being a fish friendly product, Staffordshire Pink is perfect for general use across your landscaping project.
Quartzite is a durable and hardy stone that easily stands up to the weight of a car, making it perfect for driveways and paths. Aside from driveways and paths, we also see Staffordshire Pink Gravel used a lot for decoration by landscapers. The grey and pinkish stones give outdoor spaces warmth and complement properties built from red brick.
This gravel is called ‘Staffordshire Pink’ because the stone is sourced from Staffordshire, where concentrations of pink minerals in quartzite are particularly high. Although it appears to be a luxury aggregate, thanks to its beautiful mix, it is surprisingly affordable and more so than many of the budget aggregates we sell.
The beauty of this gravel is the colour shift when wet – it darkens when wet with some stones appearing maroon and dark brown. This deep colour brings decoration to spaces and helps lift areas that would otherwise be plain.
Because of its pleasant appearance, you might like to use Staffordshire Pink Gravel across your landscaping project and to cover large areas.
We supply Staffordshire Pink Gravel in bulk bags containing 800kg to 850kg of product. This keeps our prices low and ensures we can satisfy larger projects.
