Silver Gravel Granite is a natural granite chipping with an unusual and interesting colour. The base colour is white or light grey with darker blue and grey flecks. This gives the gravel excellent depth and a natural appearance. The hard, angular shape is ideal for decorative areas, which is why it’s a popular choice in oriental gardens.
The stones are approximately 14mm in size and have a rough texture. The rough texture makes spreading the stone a little more difficult, but it also means the stones stay put better if disturbed. This makes it a good choice for pathways and driveways.
There’s no right or wrong application for Silver Gravel Granite because it offers good drainage and a stylish finish. However, most people use it for bedding and border areas, around trees and on weed mats. It has also become popular for contemporary gardens with its white, grey and black appearance offering a modern look.
Silver Granite is also known as Cornish Silver granite, owing to it originating from the Cornwall area. It is a hard-wearing and attractive gravel that offers a more premium look than your standard gravel. It’s a little more expensive than regular gravel, but if you want to decorate an outdoor space, it’s a worthwhile investment.
We recommend using Silver Gravel Granite when you want to create a contemporary feel to a landscaping project. The bulk bags we sell offer excellent value. They have 800kg to 850kg of product in them, giving you excellent spread and value.
