Our Paving Sand offers fantastic value and contains no moisture so it can be used immediately in your paving project. It is used to fill the joints of paving slabs to create a close and tight bond. Also known as jointing sand, paving sand is compressed between gaps so that paving has structure and rigidity.
Without good paving sand, paving will become loose eventually. This is because gaps between joints allow movement which, however small, loosens the concrete or grout. This is the main cause of paving slabs and bricks becoming loose. Paving sand basically reinforces the paving so that it stays put and doesn’t move.
The paving sand we supply is the best quality you can buy. It is a fine sand that easily fills joints and compresses with no holes. It can be trowelled in and levelled off easily, making it easy to work with across your paving projects.
You can use our paving sand for all types of paving, including paving slabs, blocks, carpet stone, natural stone, granite, limestone, Indian stone and natural slate. Any paving that is deemed at risk of movement will benefit from this sand.
We often see it used for decorative paving and small element paving to create a beautiful, finished product. It can also be used as a bedding sand.
We supply paving sand to the trade in bulk bags containing 800kg to 850kg of product. 25kg of sand will typically be used per 15 square metres of paving.
