Moonstone is one of the most characterful gravels with its pearly and opalescent appearance. The black, brown, grey, blue and creamy white stones have the look of a fine pebbled beach. If you have been to a pebbled beach with grey and beige stones, Moonstone gives you the same look in your garden or outdoor space.
Moonstone does not have a softened or rounded appearance, but rather a rougher and less tame one that mimics the stones found in nature. It is unique in that most stones have an opalescent appearance, which is when the stone shifts in colour at different angles. This is a character not found in most other gravels.
You can use Moonstone anywhere outdoors, including drainage areas, bedding areas, pathways, driveways, around trees and on weed mats. The individual stones are 20mm in size (approx.) with a 5mm leeway. This makes them semi-suitable around drains, since some smaller stones may be lost in the drain over time.
We recommend Moonstone when you want to create an outdoor space that has character and fits in with nature. Compared to solid colour gravel, Moonstone has more depth and is a better choice when you want something natural.
Depending on the mix and bag, Moonstone can have a dominant colour. This is most often grey and white because these stones are the most common.
We sell Moonstone gravel in bulk bags to maximise value and save you money. The 800kg to 850kg weight offers large coverage and good spread.
